An affiliate program is where a business pays you an amount of money for promoting their product - creating the perfect tool for any business to increase their sales and for web masters to either earn a little extra money or even in some cases earn enough money to promote affiliate programs fulltime...

Ideal For Internet Marketing

There are different types of affiliate programs - varying from being paid a few cents every time someone clicks on a banner to earning upwards of 50% from the sale of the product...

My personal favourite affiliate program is the latter type and this is where some very clever people are actually earning a comfortable living from selling other people's products...

So What Do I Have To Do?

If you are already a web master then look for an affiliate program that fits in with the theme of your web site...

For example: If you have a web site about pets then look for an affiliate program that sells pet products, or if you have a site about music then start selling cd's, etc...

By aligning yourself with an affiliate program you actually become an online sales person and you can even design specific web pages or even an entire web site with the aim of selling that particular product...

For example I have a different page for every city for online hotel reservations, this should give you some idea of the different techniques you can use to promote affiliate programs...

How come you are not using an affiliate program to promote your product?..

Do you know that this is a great way to increase your sales? - all of your affiliates will do your advertising for you, look after your affiliates and you may never need to spend money on any other form of advertising again...

Did you know that even a small business can use this system to great affect?...

That's right - I am currently an affiliate for various one person operators selling items such as ebooks and even ebook creation software... these people pay me upwards of 40% per sale (a sale they would not have without my promotions) now say I sell only 10 of their products a month - multiply that by 100 or even a 1,000 affiliates all making sales on your behalf each and every day... do your math and then ask yourself the question again - why don't you have an affiliate program to promote your product?..

You can even set up a third party to accept credit cards on your site and handle an affiliate program for you - and the cost will not break the bank...

In Conclusion...

Affiliate programs are growing rapidly in popularity and appear to be the best way to promote any product and at the same time provides a great opportunity for us average people to make some extra money...
